"Rejuvenate! A Women's Retreat & Celebration" Event Happening September 20 and 21, 2014 in Los Gatos, CA
Berkeley, CA, August 16, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Iris Stallworth Grayling and Gemma Benton are the founders of the Empowered Empress community of energetic, inspiring women from all walks of life and business. Their upcoming weekend event, “Rejuvenate! A Retreat and Celebration for Women,” will be held at the Presentation Center in Los Gatos, California.
Iris Stallworth-Grayling has been working in the transformational field for 38 years as a hypnotherapist, psychotherapist and presently as an empowerment coach. It brings her great joy supporting midlife women to be savvy, sassy, and strong, living fully in their empress energy.
Gemma Benton is a traditional Native American singer and transformational energy coach. She uses her 25 years of working with indigenous and Native American healers and artists to empower women to rewrite their stories and live with more power, creativity and authenticity.
A few of the key aspects of this events are:
Transformation In Nature
Enjoy and be enriched by transformational exercises in a nourishing environment in the redwoods by reconnecting and reclaiming one's deep wisdom burnished by years of experience. Embrace juicy, unique expressions of beauty by releasing narrow conventional messages of how one must look to feel good about oneself. Craft and live stories that propel oneself into fully stepping into one's magnificence as a woman over 40. Celebrate being in one's prime!
Creativity, Community & Feminine Power
One of the highlights of the weekend event is “Empress Night," a high energy, dress-to-the-ninths, evening extravaganza designed to help women embody and express their feminine power. Gemma Benton explains “A lot of women love dressing up. This is a chance for women to not just 'dress up' but to 'dress out' − to see themselves, and each other not as fashionistas but as the embodiment of the sacred feminine; as images of goddesses and heroines − as co-creators of a new reality. This (Empress Night) has a really powerful effect on how women show up in the world.”
Taking Back One's Feminine Stories
Another important aspect of this weekend retreat is holding women's circles, where women get to share their personal myths and honor one another's life changing truths in sacred space. Iris Stallworth-Grayling explains, “In my over three decades of therapy work, I helped a lot of clients excavate their old stories. At times It was really kind of heavy work. Here with this work, it's very different. When the women share their stories with each other, there is a collective 'undressing' of the old myths. Women begin to really understand they are not alone, it's something that we have all had to carry and it's something we must heal together. That's where Empress Night comes in. It's spectacular really. We're very excited to share this event with Bay Area women.”
"Rejuvenate! A Women's Retreat and Celebration" is one of many retreats and transformational events planned for the Empowered Empress community events. Iris holds a regular event, "Savvy, Sassy, Strong Empress Women," in Albany, CA and is a regular speaker and presenter for women's groups in the Bay Area such as FemTalks, The Bright Side of Life and Speaker Jams.
Gemma lives in the Central Valley and holds her monthly teleseminars, "Confident You" and "Throwing Down The Bones," on Google Hangouts.
