Regulation Cornhole Boards Now Offered by American Cornhole Association to Offset Flood of Junk Boards on the Market

'Consumers Are Getting Ripped Off': ACA Makes Move to Level the Playing Field

The American Cornhole Association issued an alert to consumers earlier today declaring that their association has started carrying their own line of regulation cornhole boards to protect the sport, and the pocketbooks of its enthusiasts.

“Many of the budget cornhole boards sold online today are not regulation boards, and are built with inferior material, and are a rip-off to consumers,” said ACA President Trent Henkaline. “Sub-standard boards, often end up costing many times more what a quality, standard board does once you factor in that they need to be replaced much more often. Given the fact our association is the first and largest governing body for the sport of Cornhole, we felt it was time to level the playing field for fans.”

Today, more people from across the country than ever enjoy playing Cornhole at tailgate parties, sanctioned tournaments, parks, and backyards. This popularity has brought with it a glut of cheap board and bag sets flooding internet sites and local stores.

According to the ACA, there are several reasons why Cornhole fans should think twice before buying one of these cheaper game sets.

Budget boards do not have a polyurethane lacquer on their tops, which causes the image on it to fade fast, and does not provide the right slickness for the bags to slide across. Also, many boards do not use 1/2 inch tops. This causes the bags to bounce when thrown and are flimsy and easily break.

Most discount Cornhole bags are filled with sand instead of corn or plastic resin and are NOT made with duck cloth using instead a cheap material that doesn't slide and falls apart quickly. Not only that, cheaper bags are single stitched, which causes them to fall apart after a couple games.
