ABOUT RAW
RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization that hand-selects and spotlights independent creatives in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair & makeup artistry, photography, models and performing art.

RAW's mission is to provide up-and-coming artists of all creative realms with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity so that they might be seen, heard and loved. RAW educates, connects and exposes emerging artists in 22 artistic communities nationwide through monthly showcase events. These showcases occur once a month in each city location (32 showcases a month). The RAW season runs from February-October and comes to an extravagant end with their indie arts awards show RAWards in Hollywood.

During a two month-process, they ask the community, a panel of judges and the nation-at-large to vote for their top five favorite artists of the year in film, fashion, music, art, photography, performing art, accessories, hair and makeup. RAW takes the votes and narrows down nominees in each city location. Then again at a special City Semi-Final nominee showcase in November after which one winner from every city, in every category is chosen by the community and goes on to be judged by the RAW panel of industry professionals in each field. The scores are based on criteria in skill, creativity, wow factor and professionalism. The winners receive big career-boosting prizes like distribution, store placement, studio time, gallery placement and consultations with industry executives and professionals.

ABOUT KATHLEEN
Many of you may remember her as the hairstylist from Brooklyn, NY turned model, some remember her as the first eliminated contestant on Cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model. But many know her as the beautiful girl with a humbling spirit that just never gave up. Well, Kathleen is back and is no longer a girl but a beautiful and positive woman determined to live her dream.

Kathleen is a Brooklyn Native who at the age of 20, landed her first national TV appearance on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 8. When Kathleen appeared on the show, she was the first to be eliminated because the judges were not pleased with her portrayal of an anti-fur advocate in the politically motivated first photo shoot.

Though many would have gone home hopeless and downtrodden, Kathleen remained positive because she knew that having an opportunity to be on the show in the first place was a blessing within itself.

Being on America's Next Top Model gave her an extra boost in her confidence and her newfound modeling career. This strange series of events landed Kathleen numerous modeling jobs, not to mention many You Tube videos which are still being viewed today by people all over the world. She soon was modeling in many major fashion shows, national as well as international.

Kathleen's popularity snowballed into a multi-media sensation. She captivated audiences nationwide with her strong Brooklyn accent and signature slogan, "You know".
Kathleen's first true "hustle" is being a hairstylist, and while Kathleen continues to work as a hairstylist she is determined to continue making a mark in the industry.

Question is...Is the Industry ready?
