Randolph Pitzer to Lead SE10's Americas Office

Expanding global PR agency SE10 has appointed Randolph Pitzer as general manager, Americas, where he will manage SE10's operations in the region, serving clients, including Volvo Construction Equipment, Manitowoc and Skyjack

With a resume that includes some of the PR industry's biggest names, Randolph Pitzer brings to SE10 more than 25 years of experience on both the client and agency sides of public relations, marketing and journalism. His experience includes business-to-business, technology and consumer public relations, as well as corporate reputation management.

Pitzer comes to SE10 after spending his last two years managing his own firm, Pitzer Relations. Prior to that, he was managing director of Porter Novelli's Chicago office and spent nine years as general manager of Edelman Chicago's Business Marketing and Technology Practice. He has worked with some of the world's most respected brands, including Canon, Dow Plastics, McDonald's, Motorola, Penske and Rockwell-Collins.

"SE10 has the right approach for effective public relations," Pitzer said. "Content is a key driver in getting exposure for brands today and the agency's approach supports how the market reacts to and engages with those brands. Companies appreciate this approach because of the value it brings to their business. My goal for the Americas is to build on this success and create greater awareness of the work we do for clients."

Pitzer also worked at Ketchum and Ogilvy PR in California, focusing on accounts such as Epson and Fujitsu. On the corporate side, he worked in marketing and communications capacities for SPSS (IBM), Spyglass and Universal Access. Pitzer moved into PR after spending his early career years in journalism, starting out with Smith Newspapers as a reporter and editor.

A board member of the Business Marketing Association's Chicago chapter, Pitzer has won numerous awards from BMA, Public Relations Society of America, National School Public Relations Association and the Publicity Club of Chicago. He won an Emmy for his work on a public service campaign for the St. Louis Public Schools. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, where he also teaches the art of storytelling.

"We are pleased to have such an experienced and well-respected practitioner join our firm to oversee operations in the Americas," said Ben Shaw, partner and founder of SE10. "Companies we do business with are seeing the value of our business model, which relies on our ability to craft stories and content that engages readers with our clients' brands. We know Randy will extend our success even further into the Americas and support greater growth in the region."
