R&R Provision Co. Adds Online Retail Brand to 85-Year-Old Wholesale Food Business
ButcherHouse Cuts allows home chefs to order R&R's premium, hand-cut steaks, meats and specialties and have them shipped anywhere in the United States
EASTON, Pa., November 25, 2019 (Newswire.com) - R&R Provision Co., a leading wholesale food manufacturer and distributor specializing in hand-cut steaks and meats, today announced it has launched an online retail brand, ButcherHouse Cuts (www.RRProvisionCo.com).
R&R, a family-owned-and-operated business based in Easton, Pennsylvania, is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year. Since 1934, R&R has grown continuously, and today, the company delivers superior-quality beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry and assorted specialties to top restaurants, country clubs, culinary arts schools, healthcare facilities and more throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
ButcherHouse Cuts offers R&R’s same fresh, hand-cut steaks, chops, lamb and veal and ships them directly to customers anywhere in the United States. Customers can also purchase bacon, scrapple, pork roll, steak burgers, combination packs, corporate gifts and gift certificates through the website.
“After 85 years in business, R&R is proud to launch ButcherHouse Cuts so home chefs can enjoy our superior-quality steaks, chops and specialties,” said R&R Provision Co. President and CEO Rick Rogers. “The R&R team is excited about this new venture and committed to delivering the best-tasting fresh meats and other foods to every customer we serve. Whether you’re hungry for steakburgers, a tender filet mignon or R&R’s famous house-made scrapple – or if you’re looking for a unique holiday gift – we hope you’ll give ButcherHouse Cuts a try.”
ButcherHouse Cuts’ beef is USDA Prime, USDA Choice Plus Black Angus and USDA Choice, and the brand’s beef and pork have no artificial ingredients, antibiotics or added hormones. R&R’s Head Butcher, Harry Ludwick, and his team have more than 140 years of combined experience. They hand-cut every ButcherHouse Cuts order, meaning it’s trimmed and prepared with the greatest attention to detail. After cutting, the meat is immediately vacuum-sealed to maintain freshness and flavor then blast-frozen. Once the meat is shipped, ButcherHouse Cuts’ reusable insulated coolers and gel packs ensure it arrives at customers’ doors in just-cut condition.
R&R Provision Co. started as a specialty food supplier 85 years ago when it was founded by two men, Ralph and Russ, who lent their first initials to their new company’s name. In 1980, Rocky Rogers bought out some of the original owners, and in 1990 his son Rick, now president and CEO, joined the company, turning R&R into a family business.
In 2009, the company opened a 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Easton. In addition to its wholesale business and ButcherHouse Cuts, R&R operates an on-site retail store in Easton where customers can purchase grocery store essentials, grab-and-go lunches and top-selling local favorites like veal patties, holiday and party platters, sausage and scrapple.
