PuroCalm Green

Puro Sound Labs, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium, safe, children’s headphones today announces PuroCalm hearing protection. The sound-isolating earmuffs are tailored to provide 27dB of safe, comfortable, broad-spectrum noise reduction to protect children from harmful noises in loud or disruptive environments, or where limiting distraction is needed. Especially designed and sized for children ages 3 to 16 years old, PuroCalm earmuffs feature heavily padded, rotatable and foldable ear pads that offer travel convenience and added comfort. Puro Sound Labs is proud to partner with KultureCity, an organization that provides sensory-inclusive spaces and universal accessibility for children with disabilities. The healthy-hearing headphone company provides sensory relief, with their PuroCalm noise-reducing earmuffs in all of KultureCity’s sensory initiatives at major sporting and theatre venues, in addition to donating a percentage of sales related to these co-partnership initiatives to KultureCity. PuroCalm earmuffs, which have a list price of $29.99 are for sale now at Amazon.com and PuroSound.com. They are available in pink and green.

PuroCalm features two super-soft and lightweight ear pads that are cushioned with foam and can rest around little ears gently. Thanks to the smooth, sliding arm and swiveling ear cups, the adjustable design ensures a perfect fit over a child’s head, creating less tension and enhancing comfort. The earmuffs fold into a compact, easy-to-carry size, while kid-friendly colors further enhance the appeal. The noise-isolating earmuffs reduce a broad spectrum of external sounds by 27 dB. This creates a safe hearing level at concerts, sporting venues, zoos, aquariums, playgrounds and other locations that might be too loud for extended hearing exposure. The noise reduction can be useful for children trying to avoid distraction while studying, sleeping on planes or simply trying to find relief from sensory overload in many entertainment venues.

Puro Sound’s history of sensory relief through volume-limited headphones brought them to the attention of KultureCity, the nation’s leading organization promoting autism awareness and acceptance. Puro and KultureCity have partnered to help bring awareness to sensory sensitivity and provide an alternative that will benefit a larger audience while also promoting hearing health. Sensory sensitivity can interfere with an individual’s ability to appreciate loud public entertainment venues or events, which in turn increases the individual’s social isolation. A pilot study showed that improved attention to these sensitivities, the creation of quiet zones and provision of “sensory bags” with product’s like Puro Sound’s PuroCalm Earmuffs, improved an individual’s overall interaction and quality of experience.

“Loud venues can create challenges for parents who are conscious of their child’s hearing health, especially those with sensory-related sensitivities,” states Puro Sound Labs founder and CEO, Dave Russell. “Puro Sound Labs continues to find ways to provide noise relief, be it at a sporting event, aquarium or maybe just a study session that requires fewer distractions. We’re proud to partner with organizations like KultureCity and provide technology that helps these children comfortably experience the live events that most of us take for granted.”

For every pair of PuroCalms purchased, Puro Sound will donate a pair to The KultureCity® Sensory Inclusive™ program, allowing individuals with autism and other sensory needs the ability to see and experience all the things the world has to offer. Puro Sound Labs headphones will also be featured in all sensory initiatives in conjunction with KultureCity, including major sports arenas, zoos, schools and theatres, thus enabling autistic individuals to cope with sensory sensitivities that so commonly interfere with their daily lives. In addition, the partnership will feature a global social campaign and looks to join forces with celebrities, influencers and companies to shift the autism conversation from awareness to acceptance … and provide safe listening devices from Puro Sound Labs to autistic children around the globe. This first-ever, large-scale campaign will represent a positive reflection of autism aimed at gaining acceptance and inclusion within the community at large.

“We are blessed to have great partners such as Puro Sound Labs supporting our mission of promoting acceptance and inclusion for autists everywhere,” stated KultureCity founder Julian Maha, M.D. “Puro Sound Labs' generous contributions of their PuroCalm earmuffs to our sensory initiatives at major sporting events will enable those with autism or other sensory challenges to have a positive entertainment experience and see all the things the world has to offer.”

PuroCalm earmuffs, available in pink and in green, list for $29.99. The product is available now at Amazon.com and PuroSound.com.
