Punk Rock & Paintbrushes Partners With Brandon Novak and Julie Johnson for Dew Tour 2022

DES MOINES, Iowa, July 27, 2022 (Newswire.com) - Punk Rock & Paintbrushes has partnered with Brandon Novak (Jackass movie franchise) and Julie Johnson (philanthropist) to host an art exhibit at the 2022 Mountain Dew Skate Tour (July 28-30). They will also be hosting a VIP event featuring an intimate speaking experience with Novak and professional skateboarder Christian Hosoi while raising funds for sober living scholarships for Novak's House.

The PRPB art show exhibit will be featuring art and photography by legendary skateboarders, artists, and musicians such as: Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Paul Kobriger, Lance Mountain, Jason Adams, Blair Alley, Matt Hensley, Toybox Monster, and Bob Dob. The show will be open throughout the entirety of the Mountain Dew Skate Tour for attendees to visit and view the art.

The VIP event will feature Brandon Novak and Christian Hosoi sharing their stories on life, overcoming adversity, and skateboarding alongside an intimate Q&A with Punk Rock & Paintbrushes artists. This event will be an invite-only event attended by those that have given back to the Des Moines community and so graciously donated their time through Subsect Skate shop and more. 10 VIP tickets will be raffled off through PRPB's website in the coming weeks. All proceeds will be going to Novak's House, Novak's sober living houses offering scholarships to those who need assistance.

Novak stated, "Julie and I are excited to be able to team with Punk Rock & Paintbrushes to bring our love of art to the Dew Skate Tour and the Des Moines community. Novak is best known for his roles in the Jackass movie franchise, as an MTV celebrity, best-selling author, and professional skateboarder. Brandon suffered from a 20-year-long heroin addiction but turned his life around and is now six years sober. He is currently a Global Recovery Speaker, Certified Intervention Professional, and Co-Founder of Novak's House.

Mountain Dew's 2022 Skate Tour is estimated to welcome over 40,000 attendees from across the country to Des Moines' Lauridsen Skate Park. Dew Tour is an invite-only skateboard competition that focuses on Street and Park disciplines, featuring both traditional and adaptive competitions. During the two-day event, fans can enjoy the Dew Tour Experience, located on Center Street, offering partner activations, athlete meet and greets, giveaways, local food trucks and drink purveyors, and much more. Dew Tour is free and open to the public and no ticket for entry is required.
