PrudentRVer.com Takes the Lead for Best LED Price on the Internet
Online, November 18, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Sam Penny, a.k.a. the Prudent RVer persona at www.prudentrver.com, announced new, low pricing for the popular W9.RV3N LED wedge bulb replacement. The price of the W9.RV3N has dropped nearly 50% to $12.98 each. It now comes in two flavors: pure white (5000K) and natural white (3800K).
"Our price of $12.98 compares to $16 products, a savings of nearly 20%, for replacing 921 and 912 wedge bulbs in RV interiors," Penny says. "The cost of upgrading those RV trailers and motor coaches equipped with multiple ceiling fixtures and wall sconces using the 921 bulbs to LED lighting is now within the reach of most people who travel."
The W9.RV3N is not an automotive light; it provides lighting you live with in your RV. The pure white option gives 200 lumens of white light with a color temperature of 5,000K (like mid-day sunlight). For a softer white with a color temperature of about 3,800K (just a little brighter than a new halogen bulb) the natural white option provides 200 lumens of light with a Color Rendering Index value of 90.
Penny continues, "Serendipity made me do it. When wedge bulb replacements hit the market last summer, I set our price at $24.98 each, higher than most others on the Internet, because we had carefully qualified our product to incorporate the designs from Neutek USA in Mesa, and the supplier demanded a premium to meet our color and quality specifications.
"Then our supplier's second shipment missed the mark on the color we required. He could not demonstrate the ability to provide what we needed, so we began searching for a new source. We found a new supplier who qualified, and his offer included a new, lower pricing structure for the product. That is why we can now offer the lowest price for the highest quality wedge bulb replacements on the Internet."
PrudentRVer.com offers a product line of LED replacements for incandescent, halogen, and fluorescent bulbs used in RVs and boats. "We are also beginning to expand our products to be more compatible with the domestic market and will have major announcements for homes and industrial applications in the coming months."
Penny tells how he entered the LED business. "In February, 2006, I met the principals from Neutek, USA, of Mesa, AZ, at Quartzsite. This company had the world's first original working prototype for a B15s bulb LED replacement, and while at the show we designed the first LED replacement for the wedge bulb on the spot -- the W9.RV3-H.
"I became a dealer for Neutek's LED lights, and in April gave Neutek the specifications for a halogen bulb replacement in puck lights. This proactive LED lamp manufacturer provided a prototype of the G4.RV3-H by mid-month. It took more than eighteen months for the 'knockoffs' from the Far East to start appearing on the scene - and they still don't understand the problem."
Penny continues, "Our bulb replacements incorporate the knowledge we have gained over the last four years of how to build the best and most reliable 12-volt LED replacements for bulbs in the RV and boating industry, knowledge that is only just now becoming apparent to our competitors. That is why we fully expect the LEDs on our products to lose no more than 30% of their luminosity over their 100,000 hour lifetime."
Penny concluded, "It feels good to see the price of LEDs come down. LEDs are the lights of the future, and they need to be affordable to the everyday RVer. Oh yes, go to W9.RV3N Specs to see product details. Visit us on B row of the Arizona Market Place in Yuma, AZ this winter and ask for some "LED PR" -- you will be pleased with what you receive."
