Professional Organizers from Napo-la Help Organize Downtown Women's Center

Members of the LA Chapter of National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA) put their organizational skills to the test sorting and organizing the myriad of donated items that help homeless women.

Members of NAPO-LA, Los Angeles’ chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers, will dedicate their time, skills and resources to help organize Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) on Friday, December 19, 2014. This event is a follow-up to NAPO-LA’s valuable contributions at DWC in August 2014, which proved beneficial in helping the nonprofit achieve its mission to support homeless women.

NAPO-LA is helping declutter and reorganize the storage spaces of DWC where donated clothes, shoes, and accessories are sorted, and where their MADE by DWC handmade products are packaged for shipping and prepared for sale. Revitalized organization of these spaces helps DWC employees be more productive and find the items they need to meet their ultimate objective of supporting homeless women.

“We are delighted to, once again, be able to volunteer our time and organizational know-how to Downtown Women’s Center, so they can focus their noble efforts on meeting the needs of women overcoming homelesness,” said Regina Lark, President, NAPO-LA.

“Downtown Women’s Center benefitted so much from NAPO-LA’s work in August, and we are most grateful they are coming back to help us again,” said Sylvia Rosenberger, CEO of DWC. “Their contributions allow us to work more effectively and provide better service to women facing homelessness.”
