Proactive Talent Hires Recruiting Leader, Courtney Lane, as Principal Consultant

Austin recruiting and employer brand consulting firm, Proactive Talent, proudly announces the newest addition to their leadership team and first Principal Consultant: Courtney Lane. Lane's transition from freelance consultant to full-time is systematic of the firm's growth. In 2019, the recruiting firm has tripled its full-time staff and built up its leadership team. Lane will develop the hiring services side of the business, providing leadership and training to scale and grow the company.

Lane has more than a decade of experience in human resources and holds a master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology.

Desiring the freedom of a consulting career, along with the opportunity to creatively solve recruiting problems for a wide range of clients, Lane became a freelance recruiting consultant for Proactive Talent. "I wanted the autonomy and the ability to make impactful changes for my clients and their recruiting processes," Lane says.

Lane joined Proactive Talent as a Lead Consultant in the summer of 2018, focused on providing OnDemand Recruiting and Recruiting Optimization services. "My favorite part about Proactive Talent is working with the other lead consultants," Lane says, "Each consultant has a unique way of approaching problems. It's a very collaborative environment where everyone can learn from each other and challenge one another."

During her first Proactive Talent engagement, Lane and her recruiting team saved UT Health East Texas over $2.6M in recruiting costs and reduced their time-to-fill by 40%. Lane continues to successfully lead large cross-functional teams, develop and deploy talent engagement programs, mobilize company-wide change management initiatives, and craft strategic plans critical to the success of talent ecosystems.
