Pro Makeup School Offers New Part Time Makeup Courses

Geared towards time challenged makeup students & professionals, the new part time makeup courses from The School of Professional Makeup offer greater flexibility.

The School of Professional Makeup, one of the leading makeup schools in Canada, has introduced a new and innovative part time makeup course offering.

Taking into consideration the needs of time challenged part time students; the new courses eliminate in-school reading assignments. Makeup theory is discussed in an informal workshop environment instead of a traditional class setting. The new structure allows students more time & flexibility with their educational needs & more opportunity to balance busy work/life/school schedules. Students with some previous makeup training can start at a more advanced stage, eliminating unnecessary class time. The new makeup course offerings give students an amount of freedom & flexibility not found at other makeup schools.

"We recognized a need with our part time students to create programs that took into consideration already existing demands on their precious time," says Robert Closs, Owner & Managing Director. "The new four segments of our part-time course offerings accommodate students with hectic schedules. Those with some training don't have to start at ground zero, or fly to Los Angeles to learn advanced airbrush techniques, for instance, as I had to do when I was studying the makeup profession."

The new part time makeup course offerings include:

· Makeup Art I - Fundamentals
· Makeup Art II - Camera Ready
· Hollywood North
· Makeup Art by Airbrush

There is a greater emphasis on still camera and cover shots, as this tends to be the most demanding medium for makeup perfection. For example, a rolling camera is much more forgiving as movement can be distracting. However, still shots are frozen in time, as are any mistakes. Says Closs, "Makeup professionals should always be striving for dynamic, camera ready perfect makeup application."

The new course calendar runs until Autumn, 2012. For more information, visit www.promakeupart.com or contact The School of Professional Makeup directly at 416-603-3332 or info@promakeupart.com.
