Private Charter Flights Now An Everyday Luxury

Adagold Aviation continues to lead the Australian private charter flights especially in Brisbane by providing unique air charter solutions to government, corporate, cargo, media and more.

Statistics from the New Brisbane Airport Corporation revealed that private charter flights in Brisbane have increased by 66 per cent over the last year. Adagold Aviation was one of the largest contributors to this figure as Australia's largest independent provider of private aircraft charter and aviation solutions.

The company recent celebrated their 21st anniversary. Over the last two decades Adagold has worked with a wide range of local and international businesses, Governments and organisations who require unique air charter solutions that often cannot be effectively provided by regular commercial airlines.

Adagold's contracts have included transporting the Australian Defence Force's troops and cargo to the Middle East and Asia. This local success has led to contracts with international Governments, including most recently the Danish defence force.

Adagold Aviation General Manager, Jeff Eager, said working closely with the ADF has seen the company grow dramatically.

"In the last three years Adagold has helped carry more than 81,000 troops and 10 million kilograms of cargo to Afghanistan and the Middle East," he said.

Adagold Aviation also provided planes for government officials and the media during the 2013 Federal Election, with their innovative solution of offering two specially modified Fokker 70LR helping win the contract.

"The Fokker 70LR planes are arguably the best planes that have ever been used in an election campaign," Eager said.

"We had 100 per cent on time performance, which is an amazing achievement given some flights were mobilised with less than one hour's notice."

The planes were fit with business class seats and Integral Air Stairs, which meant they could land anywhere and not impact flight schedules by taking over the airport's ground service equipment. The planes were also small enough to land in remote airports which larger commercial jets often can't access.

The rise in charter aviation can also be attributed to the resources boom. Operating one of Brisbane's busiest terminals, where up to 6,000 FIFO workers fly in and out each month, Adagold Aviation facilitate about 25 flights per day throughout Australia.

Adagold's client list is broad spanning mining and resources, government, corporate, cargo, entertainment and media, sporting groups and more. Mr Eager explained that the key to the company's growth over the past two decades has been due to their diversification.

"Many of our clients are VIPs, celebrities or mega-stars who like to remain anonymous and sneak into the country without creating a fuss," he said.

"We've provided flights for Sir Elton John, UK comedian Ben Elton, Hollywood actress Kate Hudson and His Holiness the Pope, among many others."

Eager said that private charters for everyday individuals are also increasing, with people finding hiring a plane easier than they thought.
