PrestoSports and NewBlue Partner to Bring Full-Scale Sports Production to All Colleges, Universities and Affiliated Organizations

PrestoSports and NewBlue announced at NAB 2019 a strategic partnership to launch an innovative, new sports streaming solution, meeting the production demands of the college sports industry.

For many college and university athletic departments, as well as their affiliated conferences and organizations, full-production studios and trailers are not accessible. This summer, PrestoSports and NewBlue will release StretchCast, an all-in-one, software-based streaming application. This solution harnesses the power of NewBlue’s award-winning graphics and incorporates its new live video switching, instant replay, video playback and streaming capabilities for a complete workflow.

With a shared vision of providing solutions that support the resource demands of colleges, PrestoSports and NewBlue are making it possible for one person to run a full-scale sports production.

As live streaming continues to proliferate outside of traditional media and broadcasting entities, the need for simple turnkey solutions has grown exponentially. “NewBlue’s driving vision is simple; anyone with a laptop should be able to create affordable, high-end live graphics,” said Todor Fay, CEO of NewBlue. “We are so excited to be working alongside PrestoSports to take the live production experience to the next level in college athletics.”

StretchCast will offer direct integration into the new PrestoSports StretchLive video platform, as well as other streaming platforms. Users can also send to multiple destinations through a direct integration with Switchboard Live. With integrated four-channel instant replay, the platform sets a course to simplify a multi-camera production workflow into one interface.

This solution further enables users to create lower thirds and other sports specific graphics, like starting lineups and team stats. XML data from live scoring platforms, such as PrestoStats, and scoreboard outputs, can be used to drive data in real time, while manual controls allow a broadcaster to manipulate scoreboards in any situation.
