President/CEO Lori Blaker Reaffirms TTi Global's Commitment to the UN Global Compact

TTi Global reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-Corruption through the submission of their annual "Communication on Progress" report.

The United Nations Global Compact is a United Nations initiative to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible  policies, and to report on their implementation. The UN Global Compact is a principle-based framework for businesses, stating ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the  environment and anti-corruption. Under the Global Compact, companies are brought together with UN agencies, labor groups and civil society.

The annual “Communication on Progress” describes TTi Global’s actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into their business strategy, culture and daily operations. The company also committed to sharing this information with their stakeholders using their primary channels of communication.

“As a woman owned business gender diversity is one of our top priorities,” says Lori Blaker, President/CEO of TTi Global.  “In our organization, we are actively involved in helping women advance and succeed. Three out of four senior roles in our company are filled by women. As the CEO, it is my job to make sure the senior management team understands the key corporate values are gender diversity, human rights, doing the right thing, and honesty.”

Lori Blaker is a strong advocate of gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace.  In the fall of 2013 Blaker launched the Metro Detroit Chapter of US National Committee for UN Women. The Chapter works to build awareness of the UN Women’s efforts for the elimination of discrimination against women. Under her leadership the chapter has worked to develop awareness on the issues of human trafficking.
