PowToon Is Giving Away $10 Million to Educators and Students Worldwide

Online Presentation Company donates $10 million dollars worth of classroom accounts in an effort to ignite students' creativity and assist educators

PowToon, the online tool for creating awesome videos and presentations, will provide $10 million in education accounts to tens of thousands of students and educators worldwide.

“We see PowToon as the intersection of technology & creativity for teachers and students” says Ilya Spitalnik, founder and CEO of PowToon. “Through this initiative, we're making sure that more schools have access to the edu-tech tool that will ignite students’ creativity and help educators convey ideas in a fascinating way”.

This realization came after receiving a letter from Edson Tellez, a school teacher from Mexico who received free Powtoon accounts for his entire school: “I have seen a definite improvement in the kids’ learning process. They’re usually not interested at all in school as they just want to join their parents, working in the fields or making craftworks, but now they’re getting more creative, more receptive, and more dynamic in each class”. Edson’s class made it to the city’s local knowledge Olympics.

“Although we already have millions of people in education who love to use our tool” says Spitalnik, “this letter helped me understand the impact PowToon was having as a facilitator of technology and creativity. In a scientific study, Sir Ken Robinson, PhD, an internationally recognized leader in creativity and innovation, says that everyone has great capacities of being creative, you just need access to creativity-boosting tools in order to develop them”.

The campaign, dubbed “Ignite Creativity” is designed to reach every school in the world so that educational organizations will benefit by creating engaging content and igniting students’ creativity.

Participating educators will receive a classroom account (teacher plus 60 students), which grants them access to royalty free styles, music and hundreds of characters and props, as well as access to PowToon Slides.

The “Ignite Creativity” campaign is set to end on September 30th, 2015, so interested educators and educational organizations should get their free account as soon as possible at: http://bit.ly/1LeHtaf
