Power TakeOff's core principle of data-driven solutions, powered by people, continues to drive company growth and industry success into our 15th year.

Pioneering Industry Leadership

Over the course of the last 15 years, Power TakeOff's portfolio of virtual offerings has expanded to support the entire customer energy efficiency journey. From the first spreadsheet reports in 2007 to a centralized web-based software platform in 2009 and addition of real-time monitoring in 2012, expertise in software and data-driven engagement paved the way to the award-winning Virtual Commissioning™ (VCx™) energy efficiency program. Once considered niche or unachievable, Power TakeOff has forged the path for 'virtual', 'remote', and 'automated/advanced M&V' non-residential solution designs to be cemented in the utility demand side management (DSM) marketplace.

The company's pioneering work in virtual DSM solutions was recognized in 2020 by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) with its 2020 Inspiring Efficiency Innovation Award to Power TakeOff and ComEd for the proven success of the new VCx™ Program design. In 2021, Power TakeOff also received an award for the Community Assistance Services from the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) for the incredible success of the VCx™ Program during COVID-19, which continued to operate virtually throughout shut-downs to help SMBs and public institutions reduce operating costs.

Looking Ahead

As the industry pioneer in non-residential virtual and Data-First DSM services, Power TakeOff continues to expand its suite of offerings leading to new utility partnerships and service expansion in non-regulated markets.

This year, Power TakeOff is on track to reach over 50 GWh of first year energy savings from our virtual Data-First Efficiency Program offerings. Through ongoing utility expansion, existing planned program growth and the newly announced launch of Virtual Strategic Energy Management™ (vSEM™), first year savings are forecasted to grow 25% in 2023. Through vSEM™, Power TakeOff looks to bring the proven scalable benefits of Data-First efficiency programming, made possible by the company's software and virtual engagement expertise, to the SEM market.

Building on the company's 15-year core expertise in energy intelligence software, Power TakeOff is also excited to announce the launch and expansion of new non-regulated Data-First energy services.

  • Power TakeOff's new Advanced M&V as a Service brings near real-time measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings at the meter or site level to the energy performance contracting industry and utility pay-for-performance market to improve vendor and customer transparency with more accurate and near real-time accessible modeling of project savings.
  • Newly launched Data-First Customer Engagement Reports provide utility customer service teams with personalized data-driven insights to engage key accounts in conversation around their energy usage and possible efficiency solutions.

These additional Data-First services complement the company's existing energy software platform and real-time monitoring and alerting services.
