Portapure Founder, Launching New Product At Tech Cocktail-NYC Event
Online, April 14, 2011 (Newswire.com) - "Eco-friendly 'Travel Filter' dubbed to achieve bottled water taste, without the expense and waste of purchasing bottled water."
George Page, philanthropist and inventor of the Pocketpure portable water filtration system, has achieved notable success in reaching out to needy communities and fellow providers of worldwide assistance during the launching of Pocketpure by Portapure. In less than a year's time, the former water filtration management engineer is ready to unveil a revolutionary new product, TravelFilter; an eco-friendly pocket-sized alternative to bottle/pitcher filters.
Portapure Inc was launched December 2010 in order to provide water treatment solutions to victims of International disasters. During the December launch, Page visited Haiti to donate his first series of water purifiers to cholera treatment victims. Sponsoring monthly donation campaigns within Portapure's "Purifying Water for
Humanity" organization, Page hopes to send water purification supplies through worldwide non-profit organizations to aid disaster victims globally.
This month -- April 2011 -- the Purifying Water for Humanity campaign is focused on raising sufficient funds to ship multiple Pocketpure water filtration systems and Travel filters to victims of the earthquake and Tsunami in that recently devastated Japan. Five and ten dollar donations are being accepted via Paypal at www.Portapure.com to fund shipments of the Pocketpure devices to Japanese citizens affected by this tragedy.
On Thursday April 14th, Page will be launching new filtration technology at Tech Cocktail NYC Mixer Event answering questions and demonstrating the eco-friendly devices. TravelFilter, when placed into any cup or container, removes organic contaminants, heavy metals, chlorine, and odors, without needing the bottle portion of bottled water.
TravelFilter is a 5-micron, carbon absorption, dual-filtration system. With compact dimensions of just 2 by 5 inches, TravelFilter fits easily fit inside of any shirt or pants pocket and retails for only $5. Comparable to a bottle filter, the difference is a dual filtration technology, which allows for twice the filtration surface area of bottle filters. Just one reusable TravelFilter can purify up to 30 gallons of contaminated water and make it suitable for human consumption.
