PMTI Decides to Come Up with Updated Study Materials to Help Students Cope with Changes in PMP Exam Pattern
Southfield, Michigan, June 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - PMTI, a pioneer in the field of project management training, has decided to come up with updated study materials to help candidates cope with the changing question pattern of PMP exams. The institute’s main aim is to ensure that students feel familiar with the questioning pattern when they appear for the PMP certification exams. As per the new syllabus, the five domains of practice for PMP will remain the same, but the tasks within each module will be added, modified or removed.
However, the proportion of questions from each domain that will appear hasn’t yet been determined. The knowledge and skills linked with each of these domains and tasks will be available on PMTI’s website after 15th June 2015. The newly added content of the PMP syllabus includes Domain 1- Initiating the Project. It includes 3 tasks- task 2, task 7 and task 8. Domain 2 deals with Planning the Project.
1 new task 13 has been added to the project. Domain 3 is about Executing the Project. It includes 2 new tasks-task 6 and task 7. Domain 4 deals with monitoring and controlling the project. 2 new tasks that have been added to the project include task 6 and task 7. Domain 5 is related to closing the project. No new tasks have been added to it.
While handling Domain I, students will now have to identify the major deliverable based on business requirements so as to manage client expectations and direct the achievement of project goals as a part of task 2. Task 7 involves conducting benefits analysis with stakeholders including clients, subject matter experts, and sponsors to validate project alignment with company’s strategy and expected business value. Task 8 involves informing stakeholders about the approved project charter so as to ensure common understanding of key deliverables, milestones, roles, and responsibilities.
Task 13 of Domain II involves development of stakeholder management plan through analysis of needs, interests, and potential impact so as to manage expectations of stakeholders and involve them in project decisions. Task 6 of Domain III in involve managing information flow by following the communications plan to keep stakeholders involved and informed. Task 7 deals with maintaining stakeholder relationships by following the management plan of stakeholders to receive continued support and management expectations.
Task 6 of Domain IV deals with capturing, analysis and management of lessons learned using lessons learned through management techniques, to enable client enhancement. Task 7 involves monitoring procurement activities as per the procurement plan to verify compliance with project objectives.
The last date to take the test according to the existing version of PMP exam is 1st November. Faculties associated with PMTI have vast experience and knowledge in the domain of project management.
