Plowz & Mowz - Taking The Country By Storm
Syracuse, NY, October 13, 2014 (Newswire.com) - A brutal snow storm in Syracuse, NY brought a flurry of ideas to Wills Mahoney and Andrew Englander, the founders of Plowz and Mowz. The duo was roommates at Syracuse University when a snowstorm struck and left Mahoney’s mother snowed in. Being the good son that he is, he shoveled her car out while thinking “There has to be an easier way.”
It turns out there wasn’t. When they tried calling local snow removal companies, no one picked up, everyone was out plowing. That’s when it dawned on them that there was a huge gap in the market. Wills turned to Andrew and said “Let’s come up with a way for customers and providers to connect.”
"Plowz & Mowz is great for people who are too busy to plow or mow, need assistance, have downed equipment or just plain need help. Similarly, it's great for landscape and snow plow businesses that might be too busy for marketing and dealing with customer service issues. Plowz & Mowz understands how difficult it is for small business to expand because they themselves are a small business."

Plowz & Mowz does exactly that with a few taps on your Smartphone or computer. It’s great for people who are too busy to plow or mow, need assistance, have downed equipment or just plain need help. Similarly, it’s great for landscape and snow plow businesses that might be too busy for marketing and dealing with customer service issues. Plowz & Mowz understands how difficult it is for small business to expand because they themselves are a small business.
As a small startup, Plowz & Mowz, has grown organically the old fashioned way, with person-to-person communication. Whether it’s going to a new city they are expanding into to meet providers or fielding hundreds of customer phone calls and emails every day, the Plowz & Mowz team makes communication the keystone of their success and growth.
Speaking of success and growth, Plowz & Mowz has expanded into over 30 markets across the U.S. Their homegrown approach to expansion has allowed them to spread quickly spread across the country with a relatively small team. And even though they’re happy with the direction they’re going, Mahoney and Englander won’t stop until they’re in every market. In the meantime, Mahoney can rest a little easier knowing he’ll be able to find someone to plow his mom’s driveway the next time it snows.
