PlanPlus Launches a Singapore Financial Planning Awards Competition

Singapore, March 11, 2016 (Newswire.com) - “A high level of technical competency and a strong professional ethical practice are what today’s consumers are looking for in their financial planners.” said Steven Ong, CFP®, CEO of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS). FPAS is proud to be a founding sponsor for the inaugural PlanPlus Singapore Financial Planning Awards competition, which focuses on the value of financial planning advice. With this competition, FPAS hopes to inspire financial planners to produce high-quality financial plans to assist their clients in financial planning. This will in turn help to instill a greater level of trust and confidence among the consumers, and more willingness to engage financial planners.

The contest is open to all Singaporean advisors that hold a CFP® designation, and that are in good standing with FPAS and other professional bodies. Planners must submit an actual client plan as their entry, after first seeking the client’s permission. A panel of qualified judges will review submitted plans based on the recommendations made, as well as the creativity and professionalism shown in helping the clients achieve their goals and objectives.
