Piper Madison Releases Debut Solo Single and Music Video "Those Girls"
Youth oriented pop song is gathering momentum online.
Los Angeles, CA, October 7, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Singer and songwriter Piper Madison releases her debut single and accompanying music video for “Those Girls” October 4, 2016. The topical anthem highlights teenage life today with snapshots of cultural details of this generation’s experience from her point of view.
Piper Madison is a 14 year old multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, piano and ukulele) as well as singer. She was born in Louisville, KY where she lived with her family until they made the move to Southern California to pursue her career in music and acting a few years ago. Those Girls was penned by Madison and recorded by her playing several instruments.
In 2014, Piper and her younger sister recorded together as Madison Fayre, releasing their first single, “A Happy Holiday Medley.” The following year, they recorded an original holiday song co-written by Piper, titled “California Christmas.”
“I had the best time playing each instrument during recording, especially my favorite, Paul,“ she explains, referring to her Les Paul Standard guitar, which she usually plays during performances.
Once the song “Those Girls” was produced she quickly moved onto the music video, where she enlisted the help of veteran video producers to ensure it’s quality and deliver the song’s message.
“I learned so much about making a video from watching the pros put this together,” Madison says, adding, “I want to know everything I can about the process which will help me to grow as an artist.”
The music video has a theme of 1950’s inspired science fiction complete with aliens, rocket ship, space flight and special effects. Taking the theme of sci-fi gave them room to illustrate the value of sharing qualities such as esteem with other girls, represented by aliens in the video.
“I wanted to include the message of empowerment that my song has in the lyrics, so this felt like the right way to show what that looks like,” says Madison.
The video starts this week on Vimeo, YouTube, and her official website (pipermadison.com), as well as MTV and other video outlets.
Piper Madison recently performed as a guest artist at Angels Stadium and is preparing for upcoming live shows and the completion of her debut album scheduled for release at the beginning of 2017.
