PhishMe Named a 2017 Greater Washington Area Top Workplace by the Washington Post

PhishMe® (www.phishme.com), the leading provider of human-focused phishing defense solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Washington Post. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

According to the survey, employees gave PhishMe high marks for a fun and dynamic working environment that encourages success, makes employees feel valued and trusted, and challenges them to learn new skills every day. The executive team also earned praise for allowing employees to make a meaningful impact on the growth of this business.

“We are thrilled to hear how much our employees enjoy working with us,” said Karen Chiappetta, VP of Human Resources at PhishMe. “We appreciate our employee’s commitment and have strived to make this a place that people enjoy coming to every day. We’re honored to be recognized by them and The Washington Post.”

PhishMe helps companies defend themselves against phishing attacks, in which hackers use genuine-looking emails to encourage employees to reveal personal or corporate information. The company is part of a growing crop of cybersecurity firms in the D.C. area. A few large infusions of money from venture capitalists have allowed PhishMe to expand its employee base rapidly since its founding in 2011. To compete for exceedingly scarce cybersecurity talent, the company pays close attention to maintaining a corporate culture that puts people first. Employees have access to several unique office perks, including a quiet room with bean bag chairs to give people a place to relax, a large snack and beverage stocked lunch room that encourages mingling and collaboration, as well as a regulation-size shuffleboard table that provides employees an opportunity come together and build better relationships among co-workers. PhishMe also runs Dog Friendly Fridays at their corporate HQ where staff can sign up to bring their dogs into the office for the day, complete with water bowls and treats for the pets. Staff can also take advantage of bi-monthly on-site massages and other in-office perks throughout the year.
