Philippines' Huma Island Resort Recruits Industry Leading Seaplane Chief Pilot, Captain Eric Brill
Huma Island, Busuanga, Palawan, Philippines, December 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Philippines’ Huma Island Resort & Spa hires new Seaplane Chief Pilot as seaplane operations surge.
In an intrepid and calculated talent acquisition to its seaplane operations, Huma Island Resort & Spa in the Philippines, managed by Kuwaiti-based International Trade Holding Company, successfully recruited Captain Eric Brill, a highly experienced and industry leading seaplane pilot, as its Chief Pilot and Seaplane Type Rating Instructor.
Captain Eric Brill is an American pilot and Certified Flight Instructor who brings specialized sets of skills and talents, both in and out of the cockpit, to the seaplane service operated by the luxury Huma Island Resort & Spa. He has operated seaplane aircraft in the United States, South America, the Maldives, and India prior to arriving in the Philippines. He has been flying for almost a decade.
The recruitment of Captain Eric Brill as Chief Pilot and Seaplane Type Rating Instructor by Huma Island Resort & Spa, built as a premium holiday destination for the discerning traveler and a spectacular hideaway nestled in Busuanga, Palawan, in the Philippines, is another indicator of significant growth and development of both Huma Island Resort & Spa as a destination and the Phillipines’ seaplane industry as a transportation sector.
Captain Brill was previously employed as Chief Pilot and Seaplane Type Rating Instructor at India’s only flying seaplane operator during the time, and prior to India, spent years flying seaplanes at the world’s largest operator of seaplanes in the Maldives, where millions of visiting tourists annually travel by seaplane.
“We warmly welcome Captain Eric Brill and his years of specialized experience in the planes we operate,” said a Huma Island Resort & Spa spokesperson, going on to say, “Captain Brill brings us his previous Chief Pilot and seaplane flight instructor know-how, and years of seaplane-specific experience gained while flying the biggest single fleet of seaplanes operating in the world. He will have a significant role in supporting the growth and development of our seaplane operations here in the Philippines. We are excited and lucky to have successfully acquired such industry leading and well qualified talent.”
When asked about his recent appointment as Chief Pilot of seaplane operations for Huma Island Resort & Spa, Captain Brill said, “I am honored and excited to be part of the growth and development of both Huma Island Resort & Spa and the Philippines’ thriving tourism industry, which I am confident will benefit significantly and substantially from the expanding seaplane service in the country that Huma Island is spearheading. As a beautiful country made up of 7,107 islands, the Philippines is particularly well suited to enjoy the benefits of seaplane connectivity.”
