Kastango, MBA, RPh, FASHP, in "What's Bugging You About USP 797 Environmental Sampling?"

Since June 2008, the expanded USP Chapter 797 environmental sampling requirements have been in effect. It continues to be part of the chapter that generates lots of questions. Weissfeld and Kastango will host a webinar to review the Environmental Sampling requirements of USP Chapter 797 and answer your questions about air, surface and gloved fingertip sampling. They will also share their experiences with the issues and challenges in maintaining an effective and appropriate environmental sampling program.

About the Presenters: Eric S. Kastango, MBA, RPh, FASHP, is President and Founder of Clinical IQ, LLC. He is an elected member of the United States Pharmacopoeia Sterile Compounding Committee (2005-2010). Over the years, he has held multiple American Society of Health-System Pharmacists chairmanships and committee positions.

Alice Schauer Weissfeld, Ph.D., D(ABMM), F(AAM) is the President and CEO and Laboratory Director of Microbiology Specialists Incorporated, a reference laboratory she co-founded in 1984. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology of the American Academy of Microbiology and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Virology and Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Weissfeld was elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology in 1986. Her areas of expertise include virology, pathogenic bacteriology, mycobacteriology, administration and regulatory affairs.
