Pastor Dennis R. Hebert Jr. Celebrates 12 Years at Beacon Light of Hammond
Hammond, LA, March 18, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Pastor Dennis R. Hebert Jr. and First Lady Tranecia Hebert will celebrate 12 years of leadership at Beacon Light of Hammond on March 26. With over a decade of proven and true leadership, the Heberts also have offered their service and commitment to the community surrounding the church.
Since beginning as pastor of Beacon Light, Pastor Hebert has shown leadership in such programs as Project Step Up, the Be Light Youth Conference, men’s and women’s conferences, and supported programs such as Boys II Men, Welcome to Manhood and Diva’s Day.
Beacon Light’s strong membership is no stranger to community service and provides meals, volunteer hours, donations and goodwill to the community, all under the direction of its beloved pastor and first lady. Most recently, Beacon Light responded to a call for a new campus in Walker to offer a ministry to Livingston Parish’s growing community.
“We celebrate our pastor’s anniversary every year,” says Elder Jeronda Bordenave, Beacon Light chief of staff. “Fellowship is important to our pastor, and we will have several activities including a night party when we ride bikes lit with colorful lights around the city as well as a dinner in the family’s honor. We will also wear T-shirts on the 19th that display this year’s theme: I am one of … XII.”
Among current missions at the church are programs for people of all ages, couples, and special Bible study times for women, men and teens. Many of these programs are a direct result of Pastor Hebert’s leadership.
On March 26, church services are 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at Beacon Light of Hammond and at 12:30 p.m. at Beacon Light West in Walker. The guest speaker will be Pastor Danny Donaldson of The Rose Hill Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. For more information, visit beaconlightofhammond.org.
Quotes from Facebook:
"I'm prejudice in favor of Beacon Light since I'm a member; however, I can tell you that Pastor Hebert does an excellent job making his message relevant, current with historical references, thought provoking, challenging and uplifting all at the same time. He's prepared and he prepares you as a Christian to understand how and why life happens to you. If you attend a service you will leave thanking God that you went."
