Panel of Industry-Leading Designers to Headline Augmented Reality in Broadcast Session at 2019 NAB Show
NewscastStudio will host a special panel discussion on augmented reality in broadcast production during the 2019 NAB Show, bringing together a variety of creatives to showcase unique projects that use the technology to enhance and elevate storytelling while also looking ahead.
ST. LOUIS, March 28, 2019 (Newswire.com) - With immersive mixed reality and augmented reality-redefining television production across news and sports coverage, a diverse group of industry-leading designers will showcase their work and talk about current trends in production during a panel session on the topic at the 2019 NAB Show, which will be hosted by NewscastStudio, the trade publication for broadcast production.
The session, "Augmented Reality and the Emergence of Dynamic, Immersive Storytelling," will be held Monday, April 8, from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. in room N235/N237 (North Hall) of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and is open to NAB Show attendees with any badge type.
The discussion will dive into today's usage of augmented reality and immersive mixed reality in broadcast storytelling and include speakers from a variety of broadcast industry backgrounds.

Some of the panel highlights will be a review of unique projects including how augmented reality was utilized by BBC Sports during the 2018 FIFA World Cup to analyze plays and expand their on-location studio, how Al Arabiya in Dubai is using it in the newsroom to break down stories across platforms, how NFL Network is using it to visualize data and review key plays and how ESPN is using it daily on “Around the Horn” to create a dynamic format. The panel will look at how augmented reality was utilized during the 2018 U.S. Midterm Election to help analyze data in real-time.
