Los Angeles, California - (15 February 2010) - OpticFit, the leading provider of technology solutions recently launched its RoHs-compliant, hi-speed Ethernet transceiver module to the consumer's market. The optical transceiver has been optimized for the ProfiNet implementation of Industrial Ethernet, the use of the Ethernet protocol in an industrial environment.

OpticFit's innovation is the industry's first industrial hi-speed Ethernet transceiver module to incorporate digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM). DDM allows both standard and proprietary networks to interoperate through its open-architecture, multi-protocol interface.

Michael Sphitz, strategic marketing manager for OpticFit said, "Our industrial hi-speed Ethernet transceiver module delivers exactly what customers need today: an upgrade path for networks and lead-free modules with advance remote diagnostics capability."

"As the leading provider of Ethernet fiber optic transceivers, clients consistently depend on us for our uncompromising product quality and excellent service," he added.

The newly launched hi-speed Ethernet transceiver module is a 650 nm LED-based SFP transceiver that permits system designers to carry out hi-speed Ethernet from 500 kbps to 125 Mbps (with auto-negation between data rates) over standard bandwidth 0.5 NA (numerical aperture) 1 nm plastic optical fiber (POF). The transceiver module meets standard industrial hi-speed Ethernet requirement over link distances up to 50 meters with its 1 mm POF. And, with its hard clad silica (HCS), the fiber optic transceiver operates over 100 meter link distances.

Furthermore, it boasts a -45 to +85 C operating temperature range and operates from 3.3 V to minimize power consumption. The SFP transceiver module provides high-performance optical communication links across open-standard and proprietary networks for factory automation, medical equipment and data communications, together with its hi-speed Ethernet compatibility.

The hi-speed Ethernet SFP transceiver module goes with OpticFit's promise to provide the latest technology with fast and accurate delivery. This innovation is reasonably priced at $ 49.00 in moderate volumes and is immediately available through the company's state-of-the-art distribution centers.
