Doctors Can Now Renew Their Patient's Prescriptions After They Complete The Online Vision Test
CHICAGO, September 24, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Opternative, Inc., a healthcare technology company, announced today the ability to route a patient’s online vision test results from its platform to a portal where designated doctors can review and dispense prescriptions for their own patients.
Instead of Opternative’s network of doctors reviewing all patient results, eye care providers and eyewear retailers who offer the online vision test can identify the doctor or doctors to review the patient’s results. Designated doctors are then able to determine the recommended next step for each patient based on the results, a renewed prescription or a comprehensive eye exam.
This new feature allows eye care providers and eyewear retailers to offer their patients the convenience of telemedicine and still remain at the forefront of their eye care.
