OnPoint Community Credit Union Names Cedaroak Park Primary School's Tandy Wolf as 2010 Educator of the Year

Wolf selected from ten Circle of Excellence finalists; will receive mortgage paid for one year

OnPoint Community Credit Union, in partnership with KGW-TV, announced that Tandy Wolf of Cedaroak Park Primary School in West Linn, OR was named the 2010 Educator of the Year during last night's OnPoint Prize for Excellence in Education awards ceremony at The Nines hotel in downtown Portland. OnPoint also named the Community Choice award winner, three finalists and five semifinalists. The annual awards recognize exceptional teachers throughout Oregon and Vancouver, Washington.

Hundreds of local teachers were nominated by their peers, students, parents and communities for this year's OnPoint Prize for Excellence in Education contest. The ten finalists, known as the Circle of Excellence, were selected based on their ability to encourage creativity, inspire and positively impact their students.

Educator of the Year:
Tandy L. Wolf
Cedaroak Park Primary School, West Linn, OR
K-5th grades-Special Education
• Wolf will receive her mortgage paid for one year by OnPoint Community Credit Union, plus $5,000 for her school to be used for resources and supplies.

Community Choice Winner:
Terry Moore
Lakeridge High School, Lake Oswego, OR
Calculus/Geometry
• Moore will receive a $1,500 award, plus $1,500 for his school to be used for resources and supplies.
