On Dec. 13, Mrs. Claus and Santa's Elves Will Hand-Deliver Christmas Cheer to Underprivileged Children in the Five Boroughs of NYC

Help Mrs. Claus is back again this year to celebrate their 10th anniversary of holiday giving for New York City’s children in need. This year, Help Mrs. Claus has their work cut out with a last-minute surge of children needing gifts in the New York City area. Convene NYC is providing their awesome midtown space for the big gift-receiving party and Joonbug Events has helped to pull it all together and coordinate this unique and joyful experience.

The effort Jennifer Scully (aka Mrs. Claus and the company Founder) began in 2010 to help Harlem Dowling’s Children & Family Services answer 30 unanswered Dear Santa letters has grown into a multi-borough effort to respond to letters from underprivileged children from the five boroughs of New York City.

“Shelters and social service organizations from all over New York work closely within their communities to gather Dear Santa letters from children who are in need. What’s really amazing is that while many children are asking for Barbies or Batman, there are many more who were displaced from places like Puerto Rico who are asking for their first winter jacket to help them deal with the cold weather,” said Scully.

US Coachways will be coordinating with Mrs. Claus for a Cause to transport hundreds of children from Rockaway, Jamaica and Harlem to the event, exceeding the organization's expectations and fulfilling their last-minute logistically complicated request to provide safe and reliable pick-up and return trips for all the children. According to US Coachways Chief Marketing Officer Joe Heap, “While US Coachways gives back throughout the year, this was an event that really touched our whole team, so we will be providing a significant portion of the transportation costs and serving up a dedicated logistical team to make sure the children arrive and depart safely.”

Scully added, “It is priceless to see each child’s face light up when their name is called to receive their gift. Every year, the number of Dear Santa letters has grown so much that 2019, our 10th-anniversary year, is the largest to date. Thankfully, Help Mrs. Claus and her elves are up for the challenge and will be ready with bells on!”
