Omaha Medical Staffing Company Donates $18,000 to Gym for Those With MS

Fusion Medical Staffing employees rallied to raise the money for a local gym aimed at helping those with multiple sclerosis. The cause hits close to many in the company.

Fusion Donates to MS Forward

Fusion Medical Staffing has donated $18,000 to MS Forward, a local Omaha gym geared toward helping people with multiple sclerosis stay active. All hands were on deck at Fusion to make this possible. The company held a two-day, company-wide golf tournament to make it all happen.

MS Forward has been making exercise possible for people diagnosed with MS since 2003.

The gym's founder, Daryl Kucera, says the support from Fusion is a blessing that has helped the gym expand several programs. They can now offer more to people in the community with unique exercise needs.

"It really lends to the fact that there are individuals who believe in what we are doing here and care enough about what we are doing here to really go overboard and do some incredible things to make people's lives better," said Kucera. "That's what the friendship with Fusion Medical Staffing really means."

The money raised from employees at the golf tournament was matched by Fusion. That totaled to $18,000 that the gym can use for new equipment. The golf tournament has become an annual event to support a cause that hits home for employees at the company.

"It is the greatest joy of my career to be able to work for an organization that believes so fundamentally in the importance of giving back," said Micaela Diarrassouba, Employee Engagement Manager. "I know that when I talk to an executive or anyone else in the company, they are always committed to helping other people."
