Ocean Dental Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Online, October 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Chad Hoecker is pleased to announce that Karen Hendren has joined the staff at the Ocean Dental Corporate Office as Chief Financial Officer. Karen is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of Healthcare Financial Management Association. She brings over 20 years experience as a CFO in the healthcare field. Most recently, Karen served as the COO and CFO for Stillwater Medical Center. Prior to that, she held the CFO position with two Integris hospitals, Baptist Regional Health Center and Grove General Hospital.

According to Hoecker, Hendren's experience in healthcare finance as well as operations will bring depth to Ocean Dental and will be instrumental in moving the company forward in a number of areas. On the priority list will be implementation of new financial accounting software capable of handling Ocean Dental into the future. Also, Karen will focus on increasing operating efficiencies and on improving data reporting to facilitate decision making.

Karen holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's degree from Oklahoma State University. She has served as the President of the Oklahoma chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association, Chairman of Oklahoma Hospital Association's Finance and Strategic Information Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time Karen enjoys running and spending time with family; she has two sons, Chad and Jalen. She and her husband, Don, reside in Stillwater, Okla.
