NYC Sports Network Launches The First New York City Weekly High School Sports Show To Be Broadcast Exclusively Online
Online, October 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - New York City Sports Network, owners of NYCFootball.com and NYCBasketball.com, has launched the NYC High School Sports Center, a weekly sports show dedicated to NYC high school sports, to be broadcast on Channel 13 on SportsClips.TV.
NYC High School Sports Center will be broadcast exclusively online, on SportsClips.TV. The show will also be viewed on NYCFootball.com during football season and on NYCBasketball.com during basketball season. The professionally produced show is the first of its kind to be broadcast as an exclusive to SportsClips.TV. The show will be broadcast from Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown Brooklyn, in the Atlantic Mall, just one block from where the Nets arena is being built.
"It made sense for us to be the first to launch a high school sports show to be aired exclusively online", noted Vernon Jones, President of New York City Sports Network. "Student-athletes live online these days and we were the first to connect with the NYC high school sports market online, through NYCFootball.com and NYCBasketball.com, so being the first to create a professionally produced high school sports show for the market shouldn't be surprising. It was a natural progression for us."
According to Jones, the show will be broadcast weekly on SportsClips.TV, Channel 13, which is the NYC Sports TV Channel. The first show will feature some of the best high school football players in New York City. Brandon Barnes a sophomore Quarterback from Tottenville high school (Staten Island), Mark Thomas and Rahim Salahuddin, both from Thomas Jefferson high school in Brooklyn, will be guests on the premiere show which will be broadcast on SportsClips.TV, Channel 13 on October 14, 2010. SportsClips.TV also has a Channel for Eastern PA High School sports and they are adding Houston, Ohio, Chicago, North Carolina and other high school sports Channels over the next 6-12 months.
