Local Oncologist Coauthored Research Of Breast Cancer Treatment To Be Presented In Miami
Rogers, AR, January 26, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Dr. J Thaddeus Beck, of Highlands Oncology Group (Highlands), Northwest Arkansas’ premier cancer treatment facility, authored research which has been accepted for presentation at the 33rd Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference; held from March 10 to March 13.
The research, entitled ““Pre-surgical pharmacodynamics study to assess the biological activity of ribociclib plus letrozole in primary breast cancer (NCT01919229),” studies the efficacy of a specifically targeted treatment of breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women besides skin cancers. In 2016, 1,685,210 new cancer cases and 595,690 cancer deaths are projected to occur in the United States, according to American Cancer Society estimates.
