Rethinking patient safety

Its keynote speaker will be David Marx, JD, founder and CEO of Outcome Engenuity, a consultancy and training firm dedicated to improving safety cultures across a range of industries.

“We are excited to have David Marx present his ground-breaking ideas and methods at our seminar,” says PULSE of NY president Ilene Corina. “At PULSE of NY we believe that patients and families can be part of the solution. By giving them a voice, we too are part of the ‘Just Culture’ and a partner in that road to improvement.”

Michael J. Dowling, President & CEO of North Shore-LIJ adds, “We are proud to partner with PULSE of NY in support of our shared mission to continually strengthen patient safety wherever care is delivered.

Corina has put out a call for individuals to contribute their personal stories of encounters with the health care system — some stories may be shared at the April 20 seminar.

Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available

Corina notes that Gold and Silver sponsorship opportunities are still available for organizations that want to support this vital educational work and enhance their standing with a very targeted audience. Please see: http://www.pulseofny.org/patientSafetySymposium15.html or call 516-579-4711.
