The second “North Georgia Winter Jam” and festival returns with an exciting twist and brings an unprecedented all-star lineup of artists from across the Americana and rock music spectrum to the banks of the Soque River.Scorching  guitars, outstanding vocal harmonies, and other varied instruments should make for a warm melodic glow in the midst of the Appalachian winter for this festival that will benefit the Soque River Watershed Association.

The festival will reach a feverish crescendo with “Throb Dylan And The Rainy Day Women” performing a well thought out set of inspired Bob Dylan classics and some surprises thrown in that will astound even the casual Dylan fan.Comprised of members of several area bands this new project shines with talented musicianship. The Donna Hopkins Band and Ralph Roddenbery both regionally acclaimed will perform a progressive blending of blues , rock, country, bluegrass, and funk.They have performed at venues all over the Southeast, winning accolades for memorable sets at major festivals like Floydfest (Virginia) and the Bear Creek Music Festival (Florida),”Ralph Roddenberry” soars with mesmerizing songwriting, inspired vocals, and creative hooks.The guitar wizardry of “Donna Hopkins” and her soul-drenched vocals is a must see.

Doors will open to the Winter Jam at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 th, and the music starts at 3 pm.

Tickets are general admission $15 in advance $20 day of the event and may be purchased at  Grant Street Music Room/Clarkesville Lanes.
