NHPHA Launches Redesigned Website by Danconia Media

Using the site, visitors can join the NHPHA, renew their memberships, donate to the organization and learn about its many activities and initiatives.

The New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) has launched a new website completely redesigned by Danconia Media, a leading New England-based web design and marketing firm.

Using the site, visitors can join the NHPHA, renew their memberships, donate to the organization and learn about its many activities and initiatives. The site is equipped with CiviCRM, an open-source constituent relationship management system that's geared especially toward nonprofit organizations. Danconia Media transferred NHPHA's user database to the system as part of the web development package.

The response to the site has been overwhelmingly positive.

"Danconia presented us with a final web design that was above and beyond our greatest expectations," Ashley Peters, co-chair of the NHPHA's Communication Committee, said. "In the short time we've been live, our organization has already seen efficiencies in communications with our members."

She added: "Working with Danconia has been an absolute joy. I recommend Danconia Media to everyone."

The site - located at www.nhpha.org - features information about proposed legislation NHPA is tracking, policy positions, upcoming events, the organization's leadership, staff members and volunteers. The CRM makes it easy to add and register for events. Membership starts at $25 for individuals and $150 for organizations.

Danconia Media's web design team built the site using a highly robust, yet user-friendly, content management system that NHPA's staffers can now use to add, remove and modify content in-house rather than relying on a third-party agency for updates. Since the CMS is open-source, it lacks the exorbitant licensing and maintenance fees that proprietary solutions carry.

While the CMS is free to use, it offers more functionality than many commercial, enterprise-class systems, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars per year for licensing alone. The CMS is used by developers throughout the globe, so NHPHA is not tied down to any one design firm. Danconia Media believes in empowering its clients to take command of their online marketing efforts.

Incorporated 20 years ago, NHPHA is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides a forum for the exchange of public health information. Its goal is to inform citizens of changes needed in laws and government policies that would benefit the public's health. Members come from a variety of backgrounds, including behavioral sciences, health education, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, nutrition/food safety, maternal/child health, occupational safety/health, international health and policy making.
