Newton Media Selected as Agency for the Jimmy Dean Show Infomercial Airing This Fall

Newton Media has been selected as the agency of record for the Jimmy Dean Show Infomercial. The program, hosted by Whisperin’ Bill Anderson and Donna Dean Stevens, will include clips of Jimmy’s musical variety show series. Fans can now relive those glorious moments with the complete Season 1 DVD, a binge-watching treasury of 13 complete episodes. Everyone can enjoy the spectacular show that became the model for Glen Campbell and Johnny Cash’s musical variety series--and, believe it or not—even “Hee Haw.”

The Jimmy Dean show had it all-- great country and pop music, sidesplitting comedy, movie stars and the most genial and engaging host ever to stand before a TV camera. Running from 1963 through 1966, the show spotlighted such massive talents as Buck Owens, Eddy Arnold, Roy Clark, Chet Atkins, Rosemary Clooney, Art Carney, Don Adams, Alan Sherman, Jo Stafford and the inimitable Jimmy Dean himself, singing, cracking jokes and acting as straight man to Rowlf the Dog, the Muppet. Jimmy’s show was the first national television show to showcase Jim Henson and his Muppets, thus launching the beginning of the Muppet empire.

Jimmy Dean rose to fame for his 1961 country crossover hit "Big Bad John." He was also Johnny Carson’s first guest host on The Tonight Show. Jimmy’s entrepreneurial skills also included the creation of Jimmy Dean Sausage. He passed away at the age of 81 June 13, 2010 and was buried on his estate just outside of Richmond VA, overlooking the James River.

“We are excited to partner with Donna Dean Stevens Entertainment in placing the Jimmy Dean Show infomercial nationally and in selected markets around the country,” says Steve Newton, President and CEO of Newton Media. “These DVDs will re-introduce Jimmy Dean, who was beloved by millions and his quality programming to his many fans, and also open a door to a whole new generation of future fans.”

Newton Media recently celebrated its 20th anniversary helping clients generate successful media campaigns in TV, Radio, Digital and Social Media platforms.
