Newcomer Sophie Harrison Releases Her First Novel

Newcomer Sophie Harrison released her first novel, "The Montgomery Manor Murders" January 16th to the praise of murder mystery lovers everywhere.

Newcomer Sophie Harrison released her first novel, “The Montgomery Manor Murders” January 16th to the praise of murder mystery lovers everywhere.  The book tells the story of a family of killers in a town full of secrets that are slowly revealed to the reader from their perspective.  On top of the unique point of view, the town is also the new home to another mysterious character sent there to uncover the truth of the family.  However, he has secrets of his own that come to light through his efforts.

The British author, Harrison, has weaved together a series of stories that unfold through the actions and interactions between the enigmatic characters in her fictitious Montgomery.  A complicated storyline told in an intuitive manner is no small feat for a first-time author, but Harrison has had a lifetime of writing and dreams of being published to hone her craft.

Telling a story from the perspective of the antihero or the antagonist is considered an advanced form of writing.  Gaining an audience’s favor while painting the picture of their main characters acting in less-than-legal or positive ways is something that most experienced writers opt not to try out of a fear of failure—turning the readers off in such a way they cannot make it through the story, much less any future secondary stories.

Fans of Harrison’s work will be pleased to learn that all signs point to the release of another story about the characters of Montgomery.  Harrison said, “If you think that this will be the end of the Montgomery’s, fret not, they will be back.”
