New Website for Pregnant Teens Is One of a Kind
Online, February 12, 2011 (Newswire.com) - TeenPregnancyAid.org, is a one of a kind website, that offers a variety of features, aimed at giving pregnant teenagers an all inclusive place to get information, resources, and much needed interaction with other pregnant teens and former teen moms.
The vast majority of teen pregnancy websites available today are focused on prevention. The rest of them, for the most part, are either teen pregnancy blogs/forums with no other features, or they are pregnancy blogs/forums with a section on teen pregnancy, but no additional site features. Finally, someone has realized that while prevention is ideal, teen pregnancy will still be a reality, and these kids need education, resources, and the ability to communicate with other pregnant teenagers.
If you visit some of the teen pregnancy forums on the internet, you will notice certain topics are continuously repeated. These are some of the issues that are shared by most pregnant teenagers; maintain friendships, finishing their education, how to financially care for baby, how to take care of baby, talking to someone who's been there, and where to get help. These questions are posted all over the internet by pregnant teenagers. Now these pregnant teens will have a place to go where they can get all of the information and support they need.
This website offers articles on a variety of teen pregnancy issues on their blog page. A forum, where pregnant teens can get advice from former teen moms is available. The Ask a Doc feature, will allow pregnant teens and teen parents, to send in medical and health related questions, and pregnant teenagers can read or share pregnancy stories on the Teen to Teen page. Perhaps the most exciting feature is the Teen Pregnancy Resource page. Once completed, if that's even possible, this page may contain the largest compilation of teen pregnancy resources available in the US.
TeenPregnancyAid.org was started by a former teen mom, who realized that the information and support that pregnant teenagers need the most, is not as readily available to them as it should be. After all, if teen pregnancy is going to be a reality for any of us, then the best thing we can do, is educate them and empower them, to be the best teen parents they can be. This site is being operated as a community group, and makes no profit by operating this service. Donations are always welcome and can be made by visiting http://teenpregnancyaid.org.
