Sports website Tipstar has launched a football news application which provides real-time news for the major UK football clubs.
Online, April 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Sports prediction website Tipstar is set to feed the appetites of football fans across the country by delivering the very latest football news direct to their desktops.
Downloadable for free from http://tipstar.co.uk/apps/, the live news stream scours the internet to keep members up-to-date with all the latest developments at their chosen club. A must for all avid fans, the new application brings information on everything from new signings to injuries, fixtures, results and club news.
News syndicators have been created in team colours for clubs in the Premiership, the Champions League and they are available to download from the Tipstar website. Tipstar syndicators currently provide news for the Newcastle United, Sunderland AFC, Middlesbrough FC , Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. Applications for other major football clubs will be launched within a month.
Rob Mathieson, Managing Director of Tipstar said: "As football fans ourselves we know how important it is to know exactly what is going on at your club as soon as it happens so we have developed this application with fans in mind.
"Whether you're a Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle or a Liverpool fan, this application allows you to streamline the information you receive on your club as it happens and it goes directly to your computer.
"The application is free to download, sits neatly on your desktop and will run on both PC and Mac computers. In addition, the application will automatically update itself whenever there is an upgrade so users don't have to worry about missing anything. We are also looking to roll out the application to all football clubs across the UK."
In addition to the news syndicator applications, Tipstar has also recently added forums to the website to allow interaction between members and help further establish its online community.
