New Spay Clinic Opens in Holdel, NJ
Monmouth County, NJ, October 27, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey, a private veterinary clinic located in Holmdel NJ, opened its doors on October 6th. Their mission is to provide high quality, low cost spay or neuter surgery for all animals- whether they are an owned pet, shelter or rescue animal, or a TNR cat.
Dr. Hancock-Brown, and Dr. Potter are local veterinarians who completed their undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, and went on to become veterinarians at the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Melbourne, respectively.
After 12 years in private practice and 8 years practicing as spay and neuter surgeons, Dr. Potter and Dr. Hancock realized that there is still a great need for low cost spay and neuter options in both New Jersey and the New York Metropolitan area. "This is a great opportunity for us to continue doing what we love and offer a much needed service to the community," says Dr. Potter, former medical director of the Monmouth County SPCA.
Together, Dr. Potter and Dr. Hancock have performed greater than 70,000 spay and neuter surgeries throughout their careers, qualifying them as experts in the field of spay and neuter surgery.
Dr. Potter and Dr. Hancock (former spay/neuter surgeon at the MCSPCA and St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center) are also strong proponents of Trap Neuter Return and offer discounts to TNR caregivers as well as other rescue groups. Dr. Hancock, a native Staten Islander, is also very excited to make another low cost option available to the island. "Staten Island is very often still treated as the forgotten borough. They are big animal lovers and we are only a half hour away. We are hoping to be able to make a real difference to a lot of people there."
The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey will be hosting an informative open house on Saturday November 1st, from 11am-2pm.
