New Ownership Means Positive Changes to Lake Sam Rayburn Area
Online, February 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Powell Park Camping Resort and Marina, a top-rated camping resort in Broaddus, is pleased to announce that it is officially under new ownership. The new ownership has taken over all operations and is excited to be adding new amenities to its guests including a brand new, "Aqua Play Zone" to add to their marina's appeal.
"We are very excited to be taking over as Powell Park's new owners and can't wait to add new and fun activities and amenities for our current and future guests," said Mark Weber, a new owner.
"This place is very special - it can really be a fun retreat for the whole family and we can't wait to make the experience at our resort better for the base of existing customers and to expand that base too!" said other new owner, Bud Bond.
Weber and Bond knew before signing on the dotted line that renovations and additions would need to be made to the resort to make it even better for families.
"We realized right away that we needed to have more amenities for families - kids in particular. We're adding new, fun stuff as we speak!" said Bond.
After a yearlong process with past owners and the Army Corps of Engineers, Weber and Bond officially obtained full ownership on Thursday, February 10. Throughout the duration of the sale, Weber has been managing Powell Park's social media and new business development in anticipation for the final signing of the papers.
"At this point, we have had contact with current and past visitors of Powell Park for nearly a year and the feedback has been extraordinary," Weber said. "It is very exciting for us to be able to truly feel the excitement around this amazing property and see it for ourselves now."
Renovations will take place immediately with on-site Manager and co-owner Bud Bond's oversight. Both owners are excited to expand the restaurant, store and to add the largest new addition to Powell Park; a seven-piece inflatable water park called the "Aqua Play Zone". The play zone will feature a 15-foot water slide, floating trampoline, challenge course and many inflatable water toys.
"We think the Aqua Play Zone will be a fun new amenity for all ages to enjoy; we can't wait to check it out ourselves!" Weber said.
