New Novel by Award-Winning Author Randall Reneau
Online, January 26, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Author Randall Reneau is pleased to announce the release of his third "Trace Brandon" novel, Ruby Silver (ISBN: 978-1482797510). Ruby Silver finds protagonist Trace Brandon and his former adversary, Cyrus "the Virus" McSweeny, working together in a fast paced mining, murder, short-selling, offshore-trading, mobbed-up, mystery/thriller set in the Pacific Northwest.
The "Trace Brandon" novels are loosely based on Mr. Reneau's 36 years as an international geologist. During his career he worked in Africa, South America, Mexico, and the U.S. He later founded several publically-traded mining and oil and gas companies, serving as Chairman and CE0. Award-winning author Ken Hodgson has compared Reneau's style of writing and story telling to that of Clive Cussler. His style has also been compared to that of South African writer, Wilbur Smith.

Mr. Reneau holds a BA in Geology from Central Washington University. He served 14 months in Vietnam and Cambodia in the late 60s, receiving a Bronze Star and two Army Commendation Medals. He later managed diamond and gold exploration in West Africa, silver exploration in Mexico, and Uranium Exploration in the U.S. He is currently working on his fourth novel. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, Lynne, and their three dogs.
