New Mexico Film Foundation Announces First Annual On The Page Screenwriters Conference October 13-16, 2016

Dirk Norris, Executive Director of the New Mexico Film Foundation announced the First Annual On the Page Screenwriters Conference to be held October 13 -16, 2016 at the Lodge at Santa Fe and the launch of the On The Page Screenwriters Conference website ( for comprehensive information and registration.

On the Page is an educational screenwriter’s conference designed to elevate the quality of the writing and marketability of the writer while introducing writers and filmmakers to the business of the TV and film industry.

“The film and television industry is thriving in New Mexico,” said Norris, “and everything hangs on the quality of the script. The time and place is perfect to assemble a group of top industry writers, producers, directors and actors to present workshops.”

There are over 40 conference presenters including Kirk Ellis, Screenwriter/Producer, (John Adams); Dave Trottier, Screenwriter, Author The Screenwriter’s Bible; Carolyn Handler-Miller, Digital Storyteller, and Hal Croasmun, Screenwriting U.

The Conference also includes two script competitions (an open competition, and a competition for high school/college students); pitch sessions with producers actively seeking new properties, and a panel of top professional actors discussing what they look for in a script.

The Conference is open to all, and is being promoted nationally and internationally.
