Mylan, the company that produces EpiPens, has been augmenting their Patient Assistance Program and has even talked about a generic EpiPen option at a reduced price, but Dr. Cherman believes that still can be too much for some patients to afford. Elements Pharmacy fully participates in Mylan’s programs and works with major wholesalers to obtain product with the longest possible expiration dating.
Unfortunately, not every pharmacy has the ability or capacity to apply assistance funds to a co-payment, which often involves a strenuous approval process. However, for all medications, Elements takes the initiative to lower patients’ co-payments as much as possible and help them with their insurance company issues.
