New Innovation In Medical Record Industry
Online, December 23, 2009 (Newswire.com) - EMDMC is making a new idea work for everyone
SHADY SHORES, Tx - EMDMC- Electronic Medical Document Management Company is reporting that more and more people are investigating their product. Peter Haasz, President of EMDMC remarked, "We have been fielding phone calls and emails from everyone looking for more information on our product." The co-founders of EMDMC, Peter Haasz and Steven Tisdale, have agreed to sit down and answer a few questions about their service.
Question 1: What is your service that you provide?
Peter, "we have a simple yet effective product that not only works for the large hospitals, but also works for the common person. Steve adds, "It is a creative product that is able to change as the needs change- we have developed a simple product that is open-ended so that we can add new services when they are wanted or needed."
Question 2: How much does it cost?
Peter smiles and then quips, "The service is VERY CHEAP! So cheap, that we don't want to tell our competitors. But the prices are as follows: Instititions-$100,000 US/ year, physicians -$30,000 US/year and patients- $109 US/year." Steve adds, "We are giving the service at cost right now, and the greatest thing is when we update the product, there is no additional cost to our clients. Of course the price is subject to change."
Question 3: Why only four languages?
"We are looking into adding additional languages as we get more interest in the product," states Peter. "We will be more than happy to add any and all languages for those that are interested." Steve nods, "I agree, our focus has been on the US and EU market place, but if others are interested it is only a matter of a day to add another language."

Question 4: What improvements are you working on?
Steve fields the question, "we have several ideas in the works right now... first, we want to work on the professional side of the industry to create standardized reporting and formatting of the information. Next we want to be able to give the professionals the information that they need to make their work easier, and then help the patient by making it easy for them to input their information. Finally we want to wrap it into a package that is not only simple to use but something people will understand. We want a product that will not only help the doctors, but
something they can use as a tool and not a barrier. The EMR industry is full of complex software and programs, we aren't that. EMDMC is a company that was created on being simple."
Question 5: How did you start this company?
Peter remarks, "I am from Hungary, and the EU is disturbingly full of problems when it comes to the use of EMR. I met Steve and we started talking about how we could come up with something that could be used in the EU and the US. There has to be a better way to getting the information out to everyone when it comes to EMR. Every country is different, there is no standard format, and the countries are spending billions of dollars and they are not getting what they want." Steve states, "THAT is the problem, there is no standard. When my mother was hospitalized last summer for gall stones, I watched as the EMT, emergency room staff and doctors went through their steps to diagnose my mother. The funny thing is, they asked the same questions over and over again. So when I was sitting in the waiting room, I began the process of figuring out how I can make this a better process, instead of spending time asking the same questions. Why can't we create something that would give this information in a matter of seconds? I called Peter on the phone and since then we have defining what has become EMDMC."
Question 6: What types of security features do you have on your website to prevent hackers from stealing information?
Peter comments, "We have several layers of security. Some we won't talk about because we don't want to give away our secrets. But we have a firewall and encrypted database that prevents someone from actually stealing information. Soon we will have extended validation SSL so that when you log on to our website you know everything that you do is encrypted. We, as the administrators have no access to your records. Steve made sure that the only thing that we see if your basic information and password. What you have on our database can't be accessed or changed by us. The email system is set up in a way that your email address that you subscribe with is actually not used. Each user is assigned their own email on our server, and when you communicate with our service, you scroll down a list of names, click on the name, type what you want, then select the send button. The email is actually like network mail. We want to protect the privacy of our clients, so the system is very unobtrusive. We are not in the business of selling emails addresses and names. We are in the business of providing a service that might actually save my life."
