New How-To EBook Helps All Levels of Photographers to Capture Striking Wildlife Photographs in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Online, June 18, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park has become one of the most popular places for capturing wildlife photos. However, the lack of specific instructional material has caused numerous safari visitors to return home without their perfect shots. Now, an artfully designed e-book, "The Photographer's Guide to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park", has been designed to help amateur and experienced wildlife photographers get the images they came for.

Organized as a field guide with nearly 20 photographic lessons sprinkled throughout, the 300-page e-book includes tips on how to locate subjects such as the big cats, how to photograph at night, how to photograph landscapes, and more.

The e-book was born when authors and photographers Mario and Jenny Fazekas observed many park visitors either could not find exciting subjects or were unhappy with their photos, even if they owned professional cameras and lenses. The park is famous for its black-maned lions, regular cheetah sightings and the elusive leopards that show themselves every now and again. Hoping to assist visitors capture the beauty of the park through their own lenses, Mario and Jenny Fazekas were inspired to create another addition to their successful African wildlife parks guide-book series.

Their newest e-Book, "The Photographer's Guide to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park", has all the information wildlife photographers need to produce superior images. The project represents the culmination of the photographers' many years of hard work - time spent learning the habits of the local animals, and discovering ideal shooting locations and camera techniques.

"Drawing upon our nearly 20 years of African photo safari experience, we have compiled a guidebook that we would have loved to have had when we first started visiting the Kgalagadi" says Jenny Fazekas, one of the e-book's co-authors. "For first-time visitors, the guide will suggest locations to scout, best times of the year or day to photograph certain subjects, and advice on photographic gear. The guide will also help seasoned visitors to the Kgalagadi find less obvious places where photographic magic is just waiting to happen."

Successful nature photography, according to Mario Fazekas, is not about having the latest and most expensive cameras and lenses. Instead, it's about understanding light, knowing how to use the gear you already have and developing a basic knowledge of African animal behavior. "The whole idea of this book is to enable visitors to make the best use of their limited time when visiting the Kgalagadi, so that they can quickly find subjects and capture good photographs of them as well."
