New Fiction Author, KL Hughes, Releases First Psychological Thriller Enovel!

Online, May 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - New fiction author, KL Hughes, recently released her first psychological thriller e-novel, Alter, about a middle-aged writer struggling with dissociative identity disorder and schizophrenia.

After experiencing a frightening chain of events and being plagued by hallucinated physical manifestations of his separate personalities (alters) during his young adulthood, Christian resorts to a strict regimen of prescription antipsychotic medication, which effectively silences his alters. The medication also prevents Christian from writing. Crippled by poverty and unable to hold down a job or even a friendship, Christian becomes desperate. Once off his medication, his alters, having been imprisoned and silenced for 12 long years, resurface, seeking vengeance.

KL Hughes is an American fiction writer and poet living in the Midwest. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts & Performance with a minor in Literature and a 7-semester emphasis in Creative Writing. She made her publishing debut with a poetry collection entitled, Why I Never Sleep, in early 2011. Inspired, though, by postmodern and dystopian fiction literature, Hughes since turned her writing efforts toward fiction narrative.
