New Event App for British Cardiovascular Society Annual Conference and Exhibition
The British Cardiovascular Society has launched an innovative new mobile event app for their annual Conference and Exhibition which takes place from the 3rd to 5th June 2013 at ExCeL, London.
Online, May 31, 2013 (Newswire.com) - With an anticipated attendance of over 2,000 cardiovascular health professionals, the mobile app provides users with all the information they need to ensure they get the most from the event, and plan their time effectively. In addition to details of all exhibitors and presentation sessions, detailed maps of the venue help them find their way around. Registered users can communicate with other event participants including 43 exhibitors, 350 faculty, and other visitors. Furthermore, push messaging allows the event organiser to broadcast alerts regarding key events or changes. Unique to this platform, the powerful 'Event Genius' function allows a user to register their own interest areas; the app will subsequently suggest a list of sessions, faculty and exhibitors likely to be relevant to them.
In their second year as technical supplier to the event, Blitz developed the mobile solution in partnership with leading provider 'Propeller Mobile'. Based on their 'Event Engine' platform, the app is available to download free of charge, and is supported on popular mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets. A mobile web version extends the reach to other devices including Blackberry, Windows Mobile and legacy products.
Steven Yeats, Chief Executive commented 'In an environment where smartphones and tablets are becoming the standard, we are delighted to be working with Blitz and Propeller Mobile, providing an innovative mobile event app for all platforms. With the mobile app enabling delegates to communicate amongst themselves, and create their own bespoke session list, the paper program will soon be relegated to history'
Dr Sarah Clarke, Chair of the Programme Committee and Vice President for Education and Research, added: 'We are delighted to introduce the mobile App at our Conference this year. I am sure it will be well received. Navigating the programme will be far easier, the BCS can broadcast to delegates who can also interact with the Faculty, exhibitors and each other. It will certainly enhance the Conference experience!'
